- 250 grams ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 8 sheets filo pastry
- 100 ml olive oil

Method

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.

Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add the ground beef, ground cumin, and paprika; cook until the meat is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

Lay out one sheet of filo pastry and brush it with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again. Cut into rectangles.

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on one end of the rectangle, fold the sides over, and roll it up tightly. Seal the edges with beaten egg.

Repeat with the remaining pastry and filling. Place the boureks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
