IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams lamb or beef, cubed
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- to taste salt
- 4 skewers metal or wooden skewers
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well to form a marinade.
- 2
Add the cubed lamb or beef to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- 3
Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, make sure they are soaked to prevent burning.
- 4
Thread the marinated meat onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- 5
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is cooked through and has a nice char.
- 6
Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- 7
Serve hot with naan or rice, accompanied by mint chutney and salad.
