- 2 cups fresh guava pulp
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 pinch salt
- -17 °C for wrapping
Method
- 1
In a saucepan, combine the guava pulp, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Once the mixture begins to bubble, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 15 minutes.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water until smooth, then add to the guava mixture. Stir well to combine.

Remove from heat and add lime juice, stirring to incorporate fully.
- 6
Pour the mixture into a greased dish or mold lined with banana leaf, and spread evenly.
- 7
Let it cool at room temperature for several hours or until set.

Once set, cut into squares or bars and wrap in banana leaves or parchment paper for serving.
