Savor the heartwarming flavors of this classic beef stew, where tender chuck meets aromatic garlic, onions, and hearty vegetables. Ideal for cozy weeknight dinners, it warms both the belly and the soul.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef chuck, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced carrots
  • 2 potatoes, diced potatoes
  • 1 liter beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • -17 °C bay leaf

Method

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add the cubed beef and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Let the stew simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.

  8. 8

Discard the bay leaf, adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve hot.
