- 500 grams beef chuck, cubed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced carrots
- 2 potatoes, diced potatoes
- 1 liter beef stock
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the cubed beef and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the beef and set it aside. In the same pot, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic, diced carrots, and potatoes. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Return the browned beef to the pot. Pour in the beef stock and soy sauce.

Add the bay leaf and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
