- 500 grams beef, cut into cubes
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 cup water
- to taste salt
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.

Mix in the red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well.

Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 40 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
