- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Drain the soaked salted cod and pat it dry. Cut it into large pieces.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, smoked paprika, and bay leaf. Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
