Warm your kitchen with the comforting aroma of Apple & Cinnamon Muffins, made with wholesome wholemeal flour and fresh apples. These delightful treats are perfect for a cozy breakfast or an afternoon snack with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 200 g plain wholemeal flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 medium cooking apple
- 55 g butter or margarine, melted
- 55 g light soft brown sugar
- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 200 ml milk
Method
- 1
Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in Classic Batter Bowl. Peel, core and chop apple. Fold chopped apple into flour mixture.
- 2
Mix melted butter, sugar, egg and milk in separate bowl; pour over flour mixture. Gently fold ingredients together. Mixture will look lumpy (over-mixing will result in heavy muffins).
- 3
Divide and spoon mixture evenly into cups of Stoneware Muffin Pan. Bake 20 minutes, or until risen and golden brown. Transfer to cooling rack; serve warm or cold.
