- 500 grams lamb or beef (cut into chunks)
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 medium potatoes (peeled and quartered)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 liter water
- Salt and pepper to taste seasoning
Method

In a large pot, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Stir in the lamb or beef chunks, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.

Add the turmeric powder and tomato paste, mixing well, then pour in the water.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the top.

After 1.5 hours, add the quartered potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Once cooked, remove the meat and potatoes. Use a fork to shred the meat and return it to the pot. Serve hot with bread and enjoy!
