Experience the vibrant flavors of Zanzibar with this delightful street food-inspired pizza, filled with gooey cheese, savory ground meat, and fresh veggies. Perfect for a fun weeknight dinner or a lively gathering with friends!
IngredientsWhat you need
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 cup chopped vegetables
- 1 cup ground meat
- 2 tbsp oil
Method
- 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
- 2
Gradually add the warm water to the flour mixture, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Let it rest for about 15 minutes.
- 3
After the dough has rested, divide it into equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circle.
- 4
On one half of each dough circle, layer the grated cheese, chopped vegetables, and ground meat (if using).
- 5
Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- 6
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry each pizza for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 7
Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with a side of chili sauce or ketchup.
