Savor the comforting flavors of Wanton Mee, a beloved Southeast Asian dish featuring tender egg noodles, succulent pork wantons, and a drizzle of aromatic sesame oil. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a delightful weekend treat.

Ingredients

  • 200 g egg noodles
  • 200 g pork wantons
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 stalks spring onions
  • 1 cup bean sprouts

Method

  1. 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

In the same pot, bring water back to a boil and add the pork wantons. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface. Remove and drain.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles with soy sauce and sesame oil, tossing to coat evenly.

  4. 4

Serve the noodles in bowls, topped with the cooked wantons, and garnish with chopped spring onions and bean sprouts.

  5. 5

Enjoy your Wanton Mee hot, possibly with extra soy sauce on the side for dipping the wantons.
