- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 pinch salt
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

While the honey mixture is heating, beat the egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- 7
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the dish before cutting into squares.
- 8
Serve at room temperature and enjoy your homemade Turrón!
