Ingredients

  • 400 grams spaghetti or tallarines
  • 1 cup red bell pepper
  • 1 cup onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste seasoning

Method

  1. 1

Cook the tallarines or spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and red bell pepper. Sauté until they are soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 4

Pour in the tomato sauce and add the dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

Mix the cooked tallarines or spaghetti into the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce and vegetables.

  6. 6

Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Adjust seasoning as needed.

  7. 7

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or cheese if desired.
