Indulge in the vibrant flavors of this Sweet and Sour Pork, featuring tender pork tenderloin, crisp bell peppers, and juicy pineapple. Perfect for a weeknight dinner that brings a taste of Asian cuisine to your table.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams pork tenderloin
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup bell peppers
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method

  1. 1

Cut the pork tenderloin into bite-sized pieces and coat them evenly with cornstarch.

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Fry the coated pork pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add diced bell peppers and pineapple chunks. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.

  5. 5

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar to create the sweet and sour sauce.

  6. 6

Add the fried pork back into the skillet, pour the sweet and sour sauce over, and toss everything together to coat well.

  7. 7

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  8. 8

Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
