- 500 grams fresh rhubarb, chopped
- 150 grams granulated sugar
- 150 grams all-purpose flour
- 100 grams unsalted butter, softened
- 75 grams rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon water
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).

In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped rhubarb, 50 grams of the sugar, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir well and set aside to macerate for about 10 minutes.

In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, rolled oats, and ground cinnamon. Add the softened butter and rub together with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Transfer the rhubarb mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- 5
Evenly sprinkle the crumble mixture over the rhubarb filling.
- 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crumble is golden brown and the rhubarb is bubbling.
- 7
Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
- 8
Serve warm, optionally with custard or ice cream.
