Indulge in the comforting flavors of Plăcintă cu Brânză, a traditional Romanian cheese pie filled with creamy feta and fresh dill, wrapped in flaky phyllo dough. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a delightful brunch treat.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams fresh cheese (preferably telemea or feta)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200 grams phyllo dough
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill

Method

    Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).

    In a bowl, mix the crumbled cheese, sour cream, beaten eggs, salt, and dill (if using) until well combined.

    Grease a baking dish with a little melted butter.

    Layer half of the phyllo dough sheets in the dish, brushing each sheet lightly with melted butter.
