IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (potatoes, onions, spinach)
- Oil for frying vegetable oil
Method
- 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt.
- 2
Gradually add water to the dry ingredients while mixing until you have a smooth batter.
- 3
Add in the chopped mixed vegetables and stir well until they are evenly coated with the batter.
- 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- 5
Once the oil is hot, carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter-coated vegetables into the oil.
- 6
Fry the pakoras until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- 7
Remove the pakoras from the oil and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 8
Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind sauce for dipping.
