Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly roasted leg of lamb, infused with garlic, rosemary, and thyme. This elegant dish is ideal for a festive family gathering or a cozy Sunday dinner.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1.5 kg leg of lamb
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable or beef broth
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
Pat the leg of lamb dry with paper towels and make small incisions in the meat with a knife.
- 3
Insert the sliced garlic into the incisions in the meat.
- 4
In a bowl, mix olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the lamb.
- 5
Place the lamb in a roasting pan and pour the broth around it to keep the meat moist.
- 6
Roast in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 60°C (140°F) for medium-rare.
- 7
Remove the lamb from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.
- 8
Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
