Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp rose water

Method

    In a mixing bowl, combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda.

    Add melted ghee and gradually mix in milk to form a soft dough.

    Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them into smooth balls.

    Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat and fry the balls until golden brown, ensuring they are cooked evenly.

    In another pot, combine sugar and water, then bring to a boil to form a syrup. Add rose water after removing from heat.

    Once the balls are fried, let them cool slightly, then soak them in the warm sugar syrup for at least 30 minutes.

    Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with nuts if desired.
