- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying vegetable oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Using a donut cutter or two round cutters, cut out the donuts from the dough and carefully place them in the hot oil.
