Indulge in these delightful Date & Walnut Slices, where the rich sweetness of dark brown sugar meets the nutty crunch of walnuts. Perfect for an afternoon treat or a cozy dessert after dinner.

Ingredients

  • 226.8 g dark soft brown sugar
  • 170.1 g S.R. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 113.4 g sugar rolled dates
  • 56.7 g walnut pieces
  • 113.4 g margarine

Method

    Put sugar, flour, and eggs in a bowl, add nuts and dates, and mix well.

    Melt margarine and add to absorb all the flour.

    Grease and flour a baking tin 8x11.

    Spread mixture evenly, cook on middle shelf, Gas 4, approx 35-40 mins.

    Cut into slices while hot, but leave to cool before removing to wire rack.
