Ingredients

  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Method

    In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.

    Add the rinsed rice and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until slightly translucent.

    Pour in the coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar (if using). Stir to combine.
