Ingredients

  • 1 kg whole chicken
  • 2 liters water
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

    In a large pot, add the cleaned chicken pieces and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Once boiling, skim off any foam that rises to the surface to keep the soup clear.

    Add the quartered onion, salt, and black pepper to the pot.

    Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.

    Remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool slightly before shredding the meat from the bones.
