Savor the heartwarming flavors of homemade tamales, filled with tender chicken, potatoes, and carrots, all wrapped in masa and steamed to perfection. Ideal for a cozy family dinner or festive gatherings.

- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup potatoes
- 1 cup carrots
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 10 corn husks dried corn husks

Soak the corn husks in warm water for at least 30 minutes to soften them.

In a bowl, mix the masa harina with chicken broth and salt until a smooth dough forms.

In a separate bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced potatoes, diced carrots, ground cumin, and season with salt to taste.

Take a soaked corn husk, spread about 2 tablespoons of masa dough on it, leaving space at the edges.

Place a spoonful of the chicken and vegetable filling in the center of the dough, then fold the sides of the husk over the filling and secure the ends.

Repeat the process until all the masa dough and filling are used.

Place the tamales upright in a steamer pot, making sure they are standing and not overcrowded. Steam for about 1.5 to 2 hours, adding water as needed.

Once cooked, let the tamales rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm!
