Savor the rich, spiced flavors of Seekh Kebab, a beloved Indian dish made with minced lamb or beef, fragrant spices, and fresh herbs. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams minced lamb or beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 4 skewers wooden or metal skewers
Method
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced lamb or beef, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, salt, and red chili powder. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Divide the meat mixture into equal portions and mold each portion around the skewers, shaping them into long sausage-like kebabs.
- 3
Preheat a grill or tandoor to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan on the stovetop, heat it over medium heat.
- 4
Once hot, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the kebabs are cooked through and have a nice char.
- 5
Remove the seekh kebabs from the skewers and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- 6
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with mint chutney or yogurt sauce.
