Indulge in these golden-brown sausage rolls, where savory pork sausage meat meets flaky puff pastry, seasoned with fresh parsley and black pepper. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a delightful party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams pork sausage meat
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    In a bowl, mix the pork sausage meat with chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

    Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle, about 3mm thick.

    Cut the pastry into long strips, about 10cm wide.

    Place a line of the sausage mixture down the center of each pastry strip.

    Fold the pastry over the sausage filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork. Cut each roll into smaller pieces if desired.

    Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

    Place on a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
