IngredientsWhat you need
- 4 cups water
- 4 tablespoons Arabica coffee
- 1 teaspoon cardamom pods
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pinch saffron
Method
- 1
Boil the water in a traditional dallah (coffee pot) over medium heat.
- 2
Once the water reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and add the finely ground Arabica coffee.
- 3
Stir in the crushed cardamom pods and saffron (if using) and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 4
Remove the dallah from heat and allow the coffee to settle for a few minutes.
- 5
Optionally, strain the coffee to remove the grounds and spices before serving.
- 6
Pour the Qahwa into small cups and add sugar to taste, if desired.
- 7
Serve hot alongside dates or nuts for a traditional experience.
