Savor the vibrant flavors of Southeast Asia with these tender pork satays, marinated in a rich blend of soy sauce, coconut milk, and garlic. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a fun weekend barbecue with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams pork tenderloin
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 skewers wooden or metal skewers
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, coconut milk, brown sugar, minced garlic, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
- 2
Add the pork strips to the marinade and coat well. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
- 3
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- 4
Thread the marinated pork onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- 5
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and has grill marks.
- 6
Remove from the grill and let the skewers rest for a few minutes before serving.
- 7
Serve the pork satay with a side of peanut sauce and cucumber salad for a complete meal.
