Indulge in the comforting flavors of Ovocné Knedlíky, a delightful Czech dish featuring tender potato dumplings filled with sweet plums or apricots. Perfect for a cozy family dinner or a special dessert treat.

- 500 g potatoes
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 250 g fresh fruit (plums or apricots)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 g butter
- 100 g cottage cheese

Peel and boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them in a bowl.

Add the flour, egg, and a pinch of salt to the mashed potatoes and mix until you form a soft dough.

Divide the dough into small pieces and flatten each piece in your hand.

Place a half of the fruit in the center of each piece of dough and fold it over, sealing the fruit inside.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully drop the knedlíky into the boiling water and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.

Remove the knedlíky from the water using a slotted spoon and let them drain.

Serve warm, drizzled with melted butter and optionally topped with cottage cheese.
