Savor the comforting warmth of Mămăligă, a traditional Romanian cornmeal dish enriched with creamy feta and butter. Ideal for cozy weeknight dinners or as a hearty side for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup feta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

Method

    In a large pot, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Add the salt to the boiling water to season it.

    Gradually pour the cornmeal into the boiling water while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
