Warm your soul with this comforting Kubba Soup, featuring tender bulgur wheat dumplings and savory ground beef simmered in rich beef broth. Ideal for cozy weeknight dinners or when you need a taste of home.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 cup fine bulgur wheat
- 250 grams ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Method
- 1
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- 2
Add the ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
- 3
Stir in the ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine the flavors.
- 4
Add the beef broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 5
Shape the soaked bulgur wheat into small oval dumplings, about the size of a walnut.
- 6
Carefully drop the bulgur dumplings into the simmering broth. Allow them to cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until they are firm and cooked through.
- 7
Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
