Savor the taste of summer with this grilled tilapia, perfectly seasoned with ground pepper and a splash of fresh lemon juice. Ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or a sunny weekend barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces tilapia fish
  • 2 tablespoons palm oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 lemon fresh lemon juice

Method

  1. 1

Start by cleaning and scaling the tilapia fish thoroughly, then make diagonal slits on both sides of the fish to allow for better marination.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix the palm oil, ground pepper, salt, and fresh lemon juice to create a marinade.

  3. 3

Rub the marinade generously over the fish, ensuring it gets into the slits. Allow the fish to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  4. 4

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated fish on the grill.

  5. 5

Grill the fish for about 10 minutes on each side, basting with additional palm oil as needed, until the fish is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  6. 6

Once cooked, remove the fish from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

  7. 7

Serve the grilled fish with a side of fried plantains or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
