Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry fava beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon juice
  • Salt to taste salt

Method

    Rinse the soaked fava beans and place them in a pot with 4 cups of water.

    Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the beans are tender.
