IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 300 ml beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 900 grams potatoes
- 50 grams butter

Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 2
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the diced carrots, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

While the meat mixture is simmering, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
- 6
Mash the potatoes with butter and milk until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7
Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top, smoothing with a spatula.
- 8
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
