Indulge in a comforting Chicken Tetrazzini, where tender chicken and savory mushrooms meld with creamy sauce and crispy bacon, all baked to golden perfection. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a gathering with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 8 chicken breasts
- 1/2 packet screw noodles
- 200 g fresh mushrooms
- 2 tins cream of mushroom soup
- 250 g grated cheddar cheese
- 250 g bacon
- 3 small onions
- 1 green pepper
Method

Season chicken breasts and roast in a little butter in a foil-covered roasting pan until tender, but not dry.

Cook noodles in salted water.

Chop onions and green pepper and glaze in a little butter.

Add chopped bacon and cook for a short while.

Add mushroom soup and chopped mushrooms. Cook all together slowly.

Add noodles and chopped chicken.

Add paprika, celery salt, and garlic salt to taste.

Add 1 cup grated cheese.

Put into large, flat pyrex dish and sprinkle plenty of grated cheese on top.

Bake in moderate oven and finish under grill to brown.
Notes
This dish is delicious served with garlic bread and salad and goes a long way.
