Indulge in the crispy, golden perfection of Chicken Kyiv, where tender chicken breasts are filled with herbed garlic butter and coated in crunchy breadcrumbs. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a special gathering with loved ones.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 4 pieces chicken breasts
- 100 grams butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup flour
- 2 pieces eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
In a bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Form this mixture into a log shape, wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze until firm (about 15 minutes).
- 3
While the butter is freezing, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- 4
Once the butter is firm, take it out of the freezer and place a piece in the center of each chicken breast. Fold the sides over the butter and roll tightly, securing the ends with toothpicks.
- 5
Dredge each chicken roll first in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- 6
Heat a skillet with oil over medium heat. Fry the chicken rolls for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 7
Transfer the fried chicken Kyiv to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- 8
Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and serve hot.
