Indulge in the crispy, buttery goodness of Chicken Kiev, where tender chicken breasts are enveloped in a fragrant garlic-parsley butter. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a special gathering with loved ones.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 4 pieces chicken breasts
- 100 g unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 500 ml vegetable oil
Method
- 1
In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Lay the chicken breasts flat and place a portion of the garlic-herb butter in the center of each breast. Fold the edges over the butter and roll tightly, securing the ends with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- 3
Dredge each chicken roll in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken rolls and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- 5
Transfer the fried chicken rolls to a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Carefully remove the toothpicks or twine before serving.
- 7
Serve hot, optionally with a side of salad or mashed potatoes.

I loved how the garlic butter oozed out with each bite of the chicken.
