Experience the smoky allure of cedar plank salmon, infused with zesty lemon and fragrant dill. This elegant dish is perfect for a summer barbecue or a cozy weeknight dinner with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh dill
  • 1 cup cedar plank

Method

  1. 1

Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning.

  2. 2

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F or 175°C).

  3. 3

Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels and place it on the soaked cedar plank.

  4. 4

Brush the salmon with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper.

  5. 5

Place lemon slices on top of the salmon and garnish with fresh dill.

  6. 6

Carefully place the cedar plank with the salmon on the grill and close the lid.

  7. 7

Grill the salmon for about 20-30 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.

  8. 8

Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
