Savor the smoky, tender goodness of BBQ ribs, slathered in a rich, tangy sauce with a hint of sweetness. Ideal for a weekend cookout or family gathering, these ribs are sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. 1

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F or 150°C).

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.

  3. 3

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  4. 4

Rub the dry mix evenly over both sides of the ribs and let them sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  5. 5

Place the ribs on the grill away from direct heat, bone side down, and cover the grill. Cook for about 2-3 hours, turning occasionally.

  6. 6

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs and close the grill lid to allow the sauce to caramelize.

  7. 7

Once the ribs are tender and the sauce has a nice glaze, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  8. 8

Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
