What you need
- 141.8 g margarine, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 226.8 g caster sugar
- 4.9 ml almond essence
- 4.9 ml baking powder
- 226.8 g self-raising flour
- 340.2 g cooking apples, sliced
- 14.8 ml lemon juice
Method
- 1
Grease an 8" round cake tin.
- 2
Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Mix until well combined.

Spoon apple mixture into the prepared tin.

Sprinkle with almonds and remaining sugar.

Bake for 1 hour.
Notes
Serve warm with almond and lemon sugar.
