IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 kg potatoes
- 250 g ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons green olives
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
Method
- 1
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- 2
In a skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until golden.
- 3
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, then stir in paprika, olives, salt, and pepper. Set aside to cool.
- 4
Peel the cooled potatoes and mash them until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Take a portion of the mashed potato, flatten it in your palm, and place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center. Fold the potato over to seal the filling inside.
- 6
Repeat the process for the remaining potatoes and filling. Form oval shapes.
- 7
In the same skillet, heat more oil and fry the filled potato balls until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- 8
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with a side of salsa or dipping sauce.
