Indulge in the warm, aromatic embrace of Kahawa, a traditional East African coffee infused with cardamom and sweetened to perfection. Ideal for cozy mornings or afternoon gatherings with friends.

- 2 tablespoons ground coffee
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cardamom pods
Method

In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, add the ground coffee and cardamom pods into the water.

Stir well and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

After simmering, remove from heat and let it steep for another 2 minutes.

Strain the coffee into cups, discarding the grounds and cardamom pods.

Add sugar and a pinch of salt to taste. Stir until dissolved.
