Savor the crispy perfection of fried tilapia, seasoned with garlic and paprika, and brightened with a splash of lemon. This delightful dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual gathering with friends.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces tilapia fish
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic

Method

  1. 1

Rinse the tilapia fish under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Rub this mixture all over the fish, including inside the cavity.

  3. 3

In another bowl, mix the lemon juice and minced garlic. Marinate the fish in this mixture for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

While the fish is marinating, heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  5. 5

Dredge each marinated fish in flour, ensuring it is evenly coated on all sides.

  6. 6

Carefully place the coated fish in the hot oil and fry for about 8-10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

Remove the fried fish from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  8. 8

Serve hot with a side of spicy pepper sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
