- 100 g wholemeal flour
- 50 g plain flour
- 75 g unsalted butter
- 50 g caster sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 ml milk

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, mix together the wholemeal flour, plain flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the softened butter and caster sugar to the flour mixture and rub it together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Stir in the milk gradually until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.

Roll the dough out on a floured surface until it is about 5mm thick. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.

Place the biscuit rounds on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
