Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil

Method

    In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

    Gradually add water to the flour mixture, kneading until a soft, smooth dough forms.

    Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.

    Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a flat disc, about 1/4 inch thick.

    Heat a tawa (griddle) or skillet over medium heat. Cook each disc for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

    Brush each kulcha with ghee or oil while it’s still hot.
