Ingredients

  • 375 g soft, unsalted butter
  • 375 g dark chocolate
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 500 g caster sugar
  • 225 g plain flour
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 300 g chopped nuts (walnuts)

Method

    Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Line brownie pan with foil or parchment.

  3. 3

    Melt butter and chocolate in a pan and let it cool a little.

  4. 4

    Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl.

  5. 5

    Measure out flour and salt.

  6. 6

    Beat eggs and sugar into chocolate, then add nuts and flour.

  7. 7

    Beat above until smooth.

  8. 8

    Bake for 25 minutes. When ready, the top should be dried to a paler brown but middle dense and gooey.

Notes

Tin size ~ 33 x 23 x 5½ cm.
